संत इग्नासियुस उच्च विद्यालय, गुमला में कक्षा ६ से १० तक की पढाई होती है। छात्रों के सर्वागीण विकास के लिए स्वस्थ्य वातावरण एवं तमाम संसाधन उपलब्ध है।
संविधान में प्रावधान भावना के अनुसार हमारे विद्यालय में ईसाई विद्यार्थियों को प्राथमिकता दी जाती है ताकि ईसाई समुदाय के सांस्कृतिक हितों की रक्षा एवं संवर्धन हो सके। साथ ही यह अपने दरवाजे को हर मजहब और हर वर्ग के छात्रों के लिए खुला रखता है। विद्यालय की शिक्षा से लाभांवित होकर ईश्वर, पडोसी, समाज तथा देश के प्रति अपना कर्तव्य पहचानना सीखें।
स्थानीय पिछड़े, गरीब मूल निवासियों को शिक्षा के प्रति जागरूक तथा शिक्षित करना इसका मूल उद्देश्य है।
The purpose to start St. Ignatius’ High School was to avail quality education to the rural mass of Gumla, especially those who could not afford to go to Ranchi or other big cities for higher education. Accordingly, St. Ignatius’ High School, Gumla became the premier education institution of the area.
Admission - St. Ignatius High School offers admission to all, irrespective of cast and creed. It is a boy’s school. The school basically issues admission application form for Class 6. For those, seeking admission in class 7, forms are issued for very limited seats.
The forms are made available in the office from the month of December.
The Entrance Test is conducted in the first week of March for threes subjects, namely –Hindi, English and Mathematics.
And the admission is opened in the first week of April.
Examinations - Class 6-10, besides unit tests and class tests, three terminal Examinations are conducted. For final promotion a cumulative mark is calculated for each subject based on the three Terminal Examinations.
Uniform - Sky Blue shirt and Navy Blue pants; Black shoes and Navy blue socks, Black belt, Navy blue sweater, Tie. (Monday to Friday)
