The School Logo

  • The School logo represents the totality or wholeness of Jesuit Education. The emblem is divided in four parts.

  • The first part with IHS letter is the monogram of the name of Jesus and its full form is ‘Jesus Hominum Salvator’, meaning Jesus, the Saviour of men. The circle in which the letters are engraved represents the sun, the source of light and heat, which symbolizes truth and love, the underlying principles to achieve the vision and mission.

  • The second part is a symbol of wheel (Chakra) which represents the continuous progress of the school. Also it signifies one’s regular and uninterrupted endeavour to reach goals, keeping oneself interrelated and interconnected with one another.

  • The third part is a symbol of lighting lamp (diya) which dispels the darkness. Each student becomes a light or spark which enkindles others and becomes an agent to bring transformation in the society dispelling the evil and promoting moral, ethical, human and spiritual values.

  • The plant in the fourth part represents the nature, the environment and the Earth - our common Home where we live. It reminds that each one of us is a care taker to protect it.

  • The motto is in Hindi- Hamari Jyoti Jalti Rahe (हमारी ज्योति जलती रहे). It literally means “let our light continuously shine’’.
